NewSong Church was birthed in December 1993 in a Shaker Heights home. The founding pastors, Randy and Becky Young, began with 40 people and a God-given vision for a diverse, Spirit-filled church that would reach the Greater Heights area. The name of the church, NewSong, reflected the heart of the church toward God's spirit of unity, love and life, sung throughout the Heights and around the world.
Soon, NewSong began to grow through relationships in services on Sundays and in small group gatherings throughout the area. In 2004, God led Randy and Becky Young to do His work elsewhere, and Executive Pastor Mark Miller stepped into the role of interim Lead Pastor.
Not long after Pastor Randy's departure, NewSong purchased their first property, a church building in the community of Orange Village. Along with this new campus, they decided to continue to meet in their Cleveland Heights location. With this, NewSong became a "Multi-site" Church -- One Church with Two Locations.
In 2007, Pastor Ron and Jemma Bradley arrived at NewSong to fill the role of Senior Pastor, and to build upon the diverse foundation God established in the first 14 years of the church. In 2008, under their leadership, the church purchased what was formerly the Severance Athletic Club and began renovation on what would become the first church on the Severance circle.
Currently, Pastor Tony Omoijuanfo is our lead pastor. He has revealed his vision for the church and we know that there are exciting days ahead for NewSong. We invite you to come join us in the work that God has called us to. The best is surely yet to come!
